My cover was missing one clamp but I was fortunately able to use one of the alternate clamps included for fitment on other vehicles to secure the top. I'm still considering reaching out for a replacement but I would like to give this a chance first. I doubt they will want the entire cover back for an exchange just to get the one clamp, but it has happened to me with a similar situation where they spent $$$$$ to return a large bulky item rather than spend a few bucks to ship the missing piece. The install is pretty straight forward however the alignment process is not nearly as simple as they make it appear. If the cover isn't aligned properly, the latch for the panel nearest to the tailgate doesn't secure properly. I had to make quite a few adjustments, including pulling the cover closer to the tailgate than the instructions show but once it is aligned properly, it does offer a secure latch.

I tried to put this on a GMC Sierra 2500, standard bed. The NAPA website said it fit, the Leer website said it fit. It didn't fit. First the length is about .5 to 1 inch too short. I cheated the front so the back would cover the tailgate, however I could see daylight on both ends so I belive it would leak. This cover latches in 3 spots, I could only get 2 of the 3 latched at the same time. I worried after driving I would have to "adjust it every time. Finally the GMC kit includes clamps for the rail that fit in the stack hole. On the driver's side there is a foldable handle that comes standard on my trim level that prevents you from using the stack hole for the clamp. The instructions show 4 clamps to support the rail. Since you can't use the GMC kit clamp only 3 clamps support the rail on the driver's side. So far NAPA has been great to work with getting it returned. I was happy with the quality and look of the cover had it fit my truck.

Let me start off by saying this is not my first folding cover that I’ve purchased and installed. It is the first Leer product I’ve ever purchased. My criteria for a cover required it to be strong enough to keep the Maine snow out of the bed and allow full access to my 5th wheel hitch in my 2024 GMC 3500 crew cab SLT with a standard bed. I’d say Leer engineering needs a few lessons in the basic engineering principles of form, fit and function! This cover requires significant design improvements to be considered a quality hard folding cover. According to the Leer website the HF650M should fit this truck, but nothing could be further from the truth. It is approximately 1 inch short. I’ll give kudos to the Leer packaging engineer for designing a sturdy and robust package. However, don’t expect much in the way of installation instructions. The directions and on-line installation video are pathetic. They are incomplete and don’t cover all the components included in the box. The provided rails have a nice rubber seal that makes contact with the bed rail, but as the picture shows, barely sits on the bed rail. There should be at least ½” to ¾” sitting on top of the bed rail for strength and adequate width of rubber to properly shed water. The rails come in 2 pieces rather than a single extrusion. This is a design failure simply done for the convenience of a single shipping box. The rail clamps are fine until you get to the clamp on the rear left side intended to be installed through the stake hole. It is impossible to install the rail clamp provided due to the standard factory installed grab handle (see picture). This leaves several feet of the rail on that side with limited support since an additional/alternate clamp is not provided. The inner and outer seal at the cab end do not prevent water from entering the bed because the inner seal does not contact the bed (see picture). If the cover was just one inch longer this issue would be resolved. The outer seal is not wide enough either to make full contact with the rear side of the bed. This leaves a significant gap for water to enter (see picture). The seal at the tailgate is acceptable. The panels themselves are simply too thin in my opinion allowing them to sag into the truck bed. The picture showing the puddle of water is evidence enough. I have no confidence the panels won’t cave in when the first snowfall in Maine arrives. When the cover is propped up against the rear window the brake light remains visible. However, it should be noted that the rear bed camera is blocked. If I hadn’t destroyed the box while opening, I’d would have returned this cover.

On a positive note the tonneau cover looks GREAT. it has a sleek look to it. We’ve only had a small drizzle so I can’t attest to its full potential to keep out the weather. The rail mounts are good and strong for the ones that are able to be attached. But that’s where the good points stop. I asked before ordering if this was the correct tonneau cover for a 2023 GMC 2500 HD Crewcab. I was assured that the part number was the one specified for my truck. However I feel the cover is made just a little short for my truck bed. When first mounted the cover was about an inch from covering the tailgate and left a gap there. I had to cheat on the front end and slide the cover back to cover that gap. This left the cover barely covering the front end and rear end of the bed. So I believe it’s going to leak at both ends. The worst part other than customer service is where the cover is suppose to be attached to the bed at the front end. The 2 clamps that are suppose to hold the topper to the bed rail are not attached. GMC when making this bed decided to curve the bed inward at the 2 front corners thus leaving no way for the clamps to grip the bed. These 2 clamps are very critical to holding the topper in place especially in the folded up position. It appears LEER did not take this into consideration when designing this tonneau cover.
