A great hitch for the Ioniq 5 ev. Really nice that it uses the factory mount points, and that it does not require trimming the bumper. There is a great youtube video by another owner of the install and some good tips and tricks.

Good item. Sturdy and attached securely to the frame. Handles my bike trailer just fine. Instructions were not helpful but thankfully the Hyundai OEM instructions were equally appropriate and much more helpful. Took longer than expected to install because it was my first time.

This is the real Curt 2" hitch for the Ioniq 5. Delivery was very fast and the people I talked to on the phone or with chats were very helpful. Installation was pretty well. I did it myself so had to use blocks to hold up one end of teh hitch while attaching the other end. It's a good idea to read the instructions very carefully before starting and leave plenty of time. I also did the install with the car on the garage floor so space was tight. It would have been much easier if I had a lift or even ramps. Oh yeah, the price was excellent.

The install was pretty straightforward. Took a friend and me about an hour to install it. BTW I got the class lll, 2" receiver. The hitch itself seems legit, it's just really low. Only about 8 1/2" from the ground. It would grind on most driveways let alone road dips and speed bumps. I already purchased an adapter that will raise the receiver another 6 1/2". This will put it into a more reasonable height range. With the knowledge of the hitch height, should give you the ability to decide if this is for you or not. I got it to haul two e-bikes. With the adapter, it ought to function as expected. Without the adapter, no bets....

Novice mechanic. Instructions were very helpful although photos of car underside were a bit unclear to me. Fishwire technique was invaluable. Would be nice to include the $4.50 rubber hitch cover with hitch purchase.
