install went smooth but steps would not retract? AMP sent me a new controller no help then they sent a new OBD unit, no help. the steps are working in the down position so I am just going to live with it!!!

The install is probably better left to a pro. The appearance is sharp, functionality is great and I love it! Now my wife and kids can get in my truck with little effort.

Shipping was super fast. Ordered on a Friday, shipped Monday, arrived Tuesday. I compared them to an OEM truck and honestly I believe they look just as good. I have a few disagreements with the install instructions. There is no ground to just bolt your wire to with the nut supplied, removal of your wheel well liners is a must and not that hard to do so it should be included in the directions and lastly the instructions advise you drill a small hole in your pinch weld 6” from one of your clamps. This puts your light in direct path of a black cover. Line the light up next to the cover and drill your hole and you’ll be fine. I called the company that owns amp research to answer a question and was told a technician would call me back. They never did. No big deal. I figured it out, but a callback would have been nice. Overall I love the product so far.

Quick and easy to install simple instructions hardest part was just figuring the best way to run the wiring and that was pretty simple. Would recommend these to everyone.

The running boards arrived very quickly, next day actually. The instructions were good and everything fit perfectly. It took two of us about 5 hours to install using a lift, I would not recommend installing without one. I think we could install another set in under 3 hours. The product is well made and so far operates flawlessly. I like the way they look on my truck. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for power running boards.

The installation of the running boards, themselves, was easy, the running of the wiring wasn't too bad either, but the wiring of the two purple power wires and installation of the running board lights was a pain. It would have been an immense help if on the purple wires and the OBD wiring harness would have had the driver and passenger side wires labeled. Also, drill bits sharp enough and durable enough should be included as part of the kit to drill through the pinch weld, or better yet, a design that doesn't require drilling through the pinch weld would be highly appreciated.
